Just popping by to say hey! We had a busy weekend over here as far as trip planning went after realizing how few options were available in one of our destinations even months out, which prompted some minor panic-booking. I’ll get into that some other day though! In the meantime, I just wanted to drop by with a few pictures from a short hike we did this afternoon in Pedara with some sweet friends.
Most of my friends have already done this one, dubbed “Picture Frame Hill.” Bet you can’t guess why?
This was a short, easy hike in Pedara, a town near us. It was perfect for the kids because while a bit of a steep hill in the beginning, it was paved in that area and easy enough for them to negotiate. Guard rails along a lot of it helped too, especially when Fiona decided to run downhill and basically lost control of herself. She ended up grabbing the rail and holding on while the rest of her body tried to keep moving … which as I type I realize probably sounds pretty awful but was kind of hilarious at the time. Um. I guess you’ll have to just take my word on that.
I wish it had been a bit less cloudy, but the view was still pretty.
There was also a small “park” nearby. I use this term loosely, for obvious reasons. There actually is a really nice new park in Pedara though, which you should definitely visit if you are at Sigonella. Preferably after doing this quick hike.
