I was going to write today about the reason we are maybe not leaving until Oct. 24. But now, sitting in front of my computer for the first time today and looking at news reports out of central Italy, I can’t work up my usual enthusiasm for bitching.
But beyond that, I don’t really know what to say. The pictures are horrible, though it is the written reports of the lost children that are hardest for me the handle. I’m grateful that our friends in Naples are OK. But heartsick for Amatrice, Accumoli, Pescara del Tronto and every other little town affected.
(Whining will continue tomorrow).

So sad!
So sorry for them. I was thinking of your family today when I heard this news. Tragedy
Hope you are not still stuck in basement. Lots of tornadoes hit ground but have not heard of anyone injured.
So sad – I immediately thought of you – I will be praying for all those affected in Italy 🙁
